A Dobie Maxwell - aka “Mr. Lucky” - is FUNNY!
Funny how, like a clown? NO - he’s funny live on stage as a nationally touring standup comedy headliner. He’s also funny on the radio, both as host of his own show and sought after guest.
Dobie has appeared on CBS TV’s “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and Byron Allen’s ‘Comics.TV’ ,Comcast Comedy Spotlight‘, Fox TV and has opened shows for a long list of top tier acts including Jerry Seinfeld, Jeff Foxworthy, Jimmy Fallon, Jay Leno, Drew Carey, Rosie O’Donnell, and many other top comedy and music acts as well as being on the Bob and Tom Show.
Dobie’s uncanny knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time – ALL the time – has spawned some of the most tragically hilarious stories of anyone anywhere.
His remarkable memoir “Monkey in the Middle” chronicles his life from being born to motorcycle gang parents and abandoned at five months old to having to testify against his childhood best friend in federal court for robbing a local bank not once but twice.
“I don’t really need to write jokes.” Dobie suggests. “Life has thrown enough darts at me where all I have to do is just report what’s gone wrong in the recent or distant past, I never seem to run out of stories.” And, laugh they do. LOUDLY!
